I test fire all guns after working on them so the customer knows their gun functions correctly.

The brake worked great! Recoil much lighter now.

Both from the same owner as the Bearcat. One had a broken mainspring assembly. Found a NOS replacement assembly. Now this one shoots as good as ever!

Came in with broken cylinder pawl plunger. Replaced the plunger with a new part made from drill rod. Works fine now.

Here, the bolt lugs have been trued to receiver, and the bolt face has been trued to the bore.

After reassembly and test firing, the Remington 700 is ready to be packaged for shipment back to its owner.

The receiver face, bolt locking surfaces and barrel threads have been trued.

Most of the inletting has been finished; exterior shaping yet to do.

Sadlak QD post installed in a Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 stock. The external "washer" was also epoxied to the stock.

The complete rifle with the Sadlak parts added: magazine release and QD post.

This shows the mount nut plate inside the stock. Epoxy has been applied to secure the nut plate to the stock. The excess epoxy was trimmed away later.

I am using a Lee lead melting pot. The salts have been added to the pot and the pot is heating up to 600 deg F. The salts when melted are a yellowish clear solution.

The muzzle end has been turned down for the 9/16"-28 thread.

The customer also wanted this rear sight base installed. The barrel assembly fits a Browning BLR rifle chambered in .270 WSM. Yes, the barrel is detachable. Cool!

Darrell Holland supplied this great tip for installing a muzzle brake. The bushing fits inside the lathe tailstock and around the breech end of the barrel. In the picture, the bushing ID is being checked.

The relief cut and the trimming to the max thread diameter has been finished.

The stock has now been glass bedded to several inches forward of the recoil lug and the barrel now free-floats in the stock.

This is the muzzle before starting machining for the muzzle brake threads.

A Kick-EEZ recoil pad fitted to a Parker-Hale Model 1200 rifle. Original pad shown on the left. A nice upgrade for a 50 year old rifle.

Here, the Picatinny rail has been drilled and counterbored for #8-40 mounting screws.

This blank will be modified to match the interface with the barrels and center rib. (4) mounting holes were drilled and counterbored.

Here is the muzzle brake attached to the barrel. This brake has no required rotational orientation.
